The Rev. G. Alan Brown II, OSL began his ministry at Solomon Lutheran Church and School in July of 2019.
He has served churches in Tennessee and Ohio for over two decades. Pr. Brown holds a Bachelor of Arts in Church Vocations from Martin Methodist College (Pulaski, TN.) and a Master Divinity Degree from United Theological Seminary (Dayton, OH.) where he studied sacramental thought and liturgical practice.
Rev. Brown was the 2009 recipient of the Hoyt L. Hickman Award for excellence in liturgical scholarship and practice. Pastor Brown has also done Post-Graduate/Doctoral course work in congregational leadership Northwestern University’s Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary (Chicago, IL.).
Pastor Brown is passionate about building a Christian community that welcomes, loves and accepts all persons, the sacraments of the church, liturgical theology, and leading the church to be the hands and feet of Christ in the world.
Pastor Alan is available to you for any pastoral care needs that you may have including: prayer, counseling, confession, Baptisms, Holy Communion (for the sick or homebound), weddings, funerals or just talking about life, marriage, kids, hockey or classic rock and jazz music over a cup of coffee.
